Trustees are local people or have a sound knowledge of the local community and its needs, and are committed to improving quality of life in the Trust area. They are responsible for the Trust’s governance and strategy and for making decisions on funding. They meet 6 times a year.
Keith Wallis – Chairman and Chair of Small Grants Sub-committee
Keith has strong sporting links south of the Borough, as Club Captain and Colts Secretary at Hayes Cricket Club and also as Secretary of the Hayes and Yeading United FC Supporters’ Club. Keith is a cricket coach, working at a number of schools in Hillingdon.
A Director of Corporate Responsibility & Environment for BAA Limited. He leads the team shaping Heathrow’s sustainability strategy, addressing the company’s environmental and social impacts.
Jasvir Jassal BEM
Jas is an IT governance analyst with Reed Exhibitions plc. He has been committed to charitable and voluntary work in the community for over ten years. In his previous role as the Community Investment Executive with the British Airways Flying Start charity he co-ordinated fundraising events and campaigns and provided mentoring to volunteers. He won the British Airways Volunteer award in 2012, was an Olympic Torch Bearer in the same year and was honoured in the New Year’s honours list 2014 with the British Empire Medal. Jas is involved with grassroots football in the West Middlesex & Hayes District League as Vice-Chairman of Concorde Rangers FC and is co-founder of the Asian Cricket Awards.
Carole Jones – Chair of Main Grants sub-committee
Headteacher of Yeading Junior School in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Yeading Junior School is the hub for Yeading Cluster Schools. Chair of Strong and Active Communities Partnership, a theme group of the Local Strategic Partnership.
Born in Hillingdon, Jack was previously active in youth politics on a local, regional and national stage, focusing on cultural understanding, climate change, and services for young people. He has since volunteered across the country, working currently on providing pro bono legal and financial advice to those in financial need and is studying to become a Chartered Accountant with the National Audit Office.
Former director of community and the environment at Groundwork Thames Valley, a qualified architect and independent consultant.
Born and raised in Harlington with an interest in politics he has recently been elected as a councillor for the Heathrow Villages Ward for the London Borough of Hillingdon. Along with this, Peter is studying for his PhD at the University of Kingston, London
Balwinder is a retired member of the Metropolitan Police and was a Partnership Funding Finance Manager during the last 5 years of her service. She has been a resident of West Drayton for over 30 years and has been volunteering within local charities, mainly in the south of the Borough. Currently, Balwinder is volunteering for the Hillingdon Hospital Macmillan Cancer Information Centre.
Paul has been a resident in the London Borough of Hillingdon for over 13 years and works in the IT sector as an HR Business Partner/HR Project and Programme Manager. As well as his work with the Hillingdon Community Trust he is also a Trustee with the Hillingdon and Ealing Citizens Advice Bureau
Freda is Managing Director at Hillingdon Refugee Support Organisation
A resident of West Drayton, Yvonne works in the grant making sector and has over 15 years’ work experience in international development. She also serves on the board of trustees for S.A.L.V.E International
