Hillingdon Community Trust approved a grant of £2,000 to St Matthew’s Church for Talk Time- a drop-in group for people whose first language is not English, to promote speaking, listening and social skills. The aim of the project was to contribute to community cohesion by providing a place where people of different nationalities and backgrounds living in the Yiewsley and West Drayton area can come together to practice their spoken English and to make friends.
