Trust appoints new Chairman and Trustees

Trust appoints new Chairman and TrusteesHillingdon Community Trust formally appointed a new Chairman and new Trustees at its January board meeting.

David Brough is well known as former Head of Democratic Services at the London Borough of Hillingdon. From his role within the Borough, David worked closely with the community. He is a Freeman of the Borough and has received commendations from the Police Commissioner and the Borough Commander.

David has wide experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies and the media and is a former Trustee of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. David replaces Mark Boleat, the Trust’s founder Chairman, who has reached the end of his term of office. David commented, ‘Mark has done a magnificent job in chairing the Trust through its establishment and its first five years. He has ensured that there is a strong team of Trustees and that the Trust is properly resourced and has the right systems in place to make sure that the Trust can make a real difference to people living in its area. He is going to be very difficult to follow, but I am very much looking forward to leading the Trust through its next phase of development.’

Also newly appointed are three Trustees. Colin Lowen, relationship director of the Royal Bank of Scotland, specialising in the not for profit sector, who lives in Yiewsley; Jody Hawley, also of West Drayton, is acting housing strategy manager at the London Borough of Hillingdon; Isabel King is a qualified architect and former director of community and the environment at Groundwork Thames Valley. She is currently an independent consultant.
