Trust funds Parks R Cool

Parks R CoolThe Parks R Cool event at Hayes End Rec during the summer school holidays received £5,000 in funding from Hillingdon Community Trust. Aimed at 11 year olds upwards the scheme was held from in August 2006 and sought to reduce anti social behaviour, increase public reassurance, reduce crime and provide young people with engaging activities.

Local benefits included reduction in anti social behaviour by bored kids with nothing to do, reduce demands on police time, reduced crime and better relationships with local youth. Over 100 young people took part in the week’s activity in Hayes End Rec, which culminated in a prize-giving ceremony by Hillingdon’s Mayor.
